You Asked: How to use the IC Markets MT4 download?
First launched in 2005 and developed primarily for the Forex market, the MT4 (MetaTrader 4) trading platform is one of the most popular across the world. Developed initially for users of the Windows OS, due to its exceptional popularity with brokers and traders, it is now available for Mac and mobile devices too.
Please be aware that you can only use the IC Markets version of the MT4 platform on a PC running Windows 7 or higher, or on a Mac OSX. You will also need to register with the broker for either a Demo or Live account before you can access the platform. Both processes are straightforward and will only take a few minutes of your time.
IC Markets will e-mail you with your username and password. You can then use this information to gain entry to the secure ‘Client Area’. You can now download MT4 from the broker by logging in and clicking on the ‘Download Metatrader 4’ button; this will only take a few seconds. Once the .exe file has downloaded successfully, you can proceed with installing.
At this point, you can start using MT4. If you have used the platform on previous occasions, you will have no difficulty in configuring it to suit your trading needs and adding any custom indicators or alerts you require.
However, if this is your first time, the platform may seem a little daunting. In this situation, you should access the tutorials and other help guides available including our expert IC Markets review. The broker is also happy to answer your questions via e-mail or using the Live Chat facility.
